Meta is the most accessible department in the Orinoquia region. Villavicencio is about 2h (when everything go well) from Bogota. And from here, you can visit different part of the Meta. But if you want to go to La Macarena and visit Caño Cristales, you’ll see it’s best to flight from Bogota.
